Previous American Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretaries have generally aligned themselves with “Big Medicine” — embracing vaccines, pasteurization, and other mainstream public health measures advocated by experts. The confirmation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as HHS Secretary marks a dramatic break from this tradition, signaling a fundamental shift in American public health policy — away from the evils of Big Medicine.
